An e-mail whenever new photographs go online. Nothing else, and you can leave any time.
This site shows photographs and, if you ask for it, sends you an e-mail when new ones appear. It collects as little as possible. Below is what happens to your data when you visit, in plain words.

The site is hosted by Strato AG, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin. Like every web server, Strato’s server records each request in a log: the IP address of your device, date and time, the page requested, the browser and operating system you use, and the page you came from. These logs are needed to deliver the pages and to spot attacks and faults. They are kept for a short period and then deleted. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in running a secure site. No data is passed to anyone else.
The site sets no cookies for visitors and uses no tracking, no advertising and no social media plug-ins. Fonts and all other files are served from this server, not from third parties.
The site counts visits with the WP Statistics plug-in, which runs on this server. IP addresses are anonymised before they are stored, no cookies are set, and no profile of you is built. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, the interest in knowing which pages are viewed.
If you subscribe for automatic updates, your e-mail address is stored on this server (MailPoet plug-in). You receive an e-mail with a confirmation link first; the subscription only starts when you click it (double opt-in). We record the time of your confirmation. You then receive an e-mail when new photographs or new species appear, at most every couple of weeks. The legal basis is your consent, Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can withdraw it at any time with the unsubscribe link in every e-mail or by writing to info@hannomuller.com; your address is then deleted. No addresses are given to third parties and the e-mails contain no tracking.
If you send an e-mail, its content and your address are stored to answer you (Article 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR) and deleted once the matter is closed, unless legal retention periods apply.
You have the right to information about your stored data, to correction, deletion, restriction of processing, data portability and objection (Articles 15 to 21 GDPR). Write to the address above.
