Family: Chats and Old World flycatchers
A small, round songbird with an orange-red face and breast, brown back and large dark eyes. Robins hop about at ground level, often following gardeners for turned-up worms, and sing a thin, wistful song even in winter and at night under street lamps. Resident throughout Germany, with northern birds passing through on migration in autumn.
